Ingredients:
- 1 kg skinless chicken thighs cut into thick strips (4 strips per thigh)
- 4 tbs plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 juice of 1 Lemon
- 4 crushed garlic gloves
- 3 tbs white vinegar
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1/4 tsp Lebanese 7 spice
- 1/4 tsp sweet paprika powder
- 1/4 tsp ginger powder
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cinnamon stick
Method:
Mix all the ingredients all together then add the chicken making sure it is well coated in the mix. Keep in the fridge for 2 hours minimum (preferable overnight) then cook in the oven, frypan, on skewers or a BBQ.
When cooked, place on Lebanese bread with a red onions, cos lettuce, tomatoes, fries and Lebanese garlic paste (recipe coming soon).
Pickles and pickled chilies optional.
