Dear Honourable Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Foreign Minister Penny Wong,

The United Australian Lebanese Movement (UALM) calls on the Australian Government to advocate for an immediate cessation of Israeli hostilities.

The war has devastated Lebanon, destroying villages, claiming hundreds of lives, injuring thousands, and displacing many more. Lebanese civilians are suffering the most from this conflict.

Furthermore, Lebanon can no longer bear the burden of the displaced Syrian population. As conditions in Syria stabilize, it is imperative that the international community facilitates their return and redirects humanitarian support to Lebanon.
