The United Australian Lebanese Movement is shocked and saddened by the horrific massacre that unfolded at the two Mosques in Christchurch New Zealand.

The UALM wholeheartedly condemns this vicious terrorist act that was aimed directly at the heart of New Zealand’s Moslem community and indeed at all of New Zealand and the civilized world.

We are truly saddened at the deaths of so many innocent people.
It saddens us that innocents are being targeting in their place of worship on a regularly basis by extremists around the world.

The UALM stands by the people of New Zealand, an open and inclusive society in their time of sorrow, and is reassured by the measured and humane response of its leadership.

Terrorism is a scourge that knows no religion, and the UALM encourages our Australian security institutions to maintain the excellent work they are doing at stopping extremists from harming the community.
